Felabration 2016 to hold October


This year's festival began with a symposium tagged 'Movement Against Second Slavery' at NECA hall, Hakeem Balogun street, Ikeja on October 10, 2016.
This year’s edition of the annual Felabration in honour of the legend has started
Felabration; an annual music festival conceived in 1998 by Yeni Anikulapo-Kuti in memory and celebration of her father, Fela Kuti kicked off in Lagos yesterday for its 2016 edition.
The party continued in the evening at the Afrikan Shrine, Ikeja where fans will gather daily till the celebrations wrap up on October 16, 2016.
This year’s Felabration is themed, ‘Everybody say Yeah Yeah’.
Felabration is always held in the week of October 15 to coincide with the birthday of the late Afrobeat legend, who was born in 1938, and for the first time, this year, concerts will hold simultaneously at New Africa Shrine, Freedom Park, Kalakuta Museum and a host of other venues.
As always, a long list of Nigerian musicians will take turns to entertain fans daily at the festival.
